Experience the vibrant artworks displayed throughout the downtown area, showcasing the historical significance of this milestone with a red, white, and blue Americana theme.
We invite you to explore pieces that capture the essence of the Antrim County region and honor our shared history.
About
The Bellaire Downtown Development Authority
(DDA) is responsible for the development and promotion of the downtown of Bellaire, Michigan.
While public art exhibitions have been an integral part of the DDA's activities, Bellaire DDA continues to work on other programs including public Wi-Fi needs, parking,
pedestrian concerns, and more.
The DDA Grants Committee facilitates public art exhibitions throughout the downtown area.
Projects
In 2019, the Bellaire Downtown Development Authority (DDA), in conjunction with the Detroit Institute of Art, hosted their first outdoor public art exhibit. "Inside Out" brought reproductions of great treasures from the Detroit Institute of Arts into our community. In 2023, the "Charles Culver Public Art Exhibition" took place through downtown Bellaire.
Donate
While the bulk of expenses for these public art exhibitions are funded by grants and an auction of public art, nearly 50% of costs have been met by donations from generous individual donors.
These projects would not be possible without this wonderful support.
To make a donation to the Bellaire DDA's
Public Art Exhibitions you made do so by check (Bellaire DDA)
or online here.
Get Involved
While the leadership for these art programs comes from the DDA Grant Committee, volunteers are always needed to help with installation, framing, contact with local artists and organizations, and more.
